Swimmingl... studying for classes... and hangin' at Universal Studios

Today has been a fantastic day off this fine day, June 11, 2011.

Starting out the day with being able to sleep in, and physically be able to lie in my bed was amazing.  The unique feeling one gets when able to experience your soft and cozy bed blankets, sheets, pillows, and bed clothes.  So the simple act of remaining in bed is wonderful.

Kitty though, always on the ever vigual stand to make sure that I am not late for work, arrives bed side to assist me in waking up.  Someday soon I hope to teach her the differnece between one day and an other one.  But kitty alsways means well of course.

Up and about took Dan and I on a quick trip toTarget for a few minor items and soon headed back to the house.  Then it was outside to the back yard for some time in the swimming pool.  The pool was so relaxing, and the water felt fantastic.

I managed to the urge to get the stuff finally hung up, so I took some time and got them up on the walls.  Last week we stopped by Old Time Pottery and found several items that we liked so be bouth them to put on display at the backyard the backyard themed to the pool.

After a little TV, we cleaned up and headed over to Universal Studios for a few hours.  The singing group called the GO-GO's appeared on stage there tonight and I really wanted to go to see them perform.  We rode a couple of the attractions, got dinner there at Mel's Diner, and then walked through a couple of shops.

It was a good day

First Class…DONE!

Today I completed my final assignments for first OU Class!  So far I have managed to get A’s on each of the writing assignments so it has been "so far so good”, so I am hopeful to continue with my success rate.

Now that my Travel and Tourism class assignments are complete, I can move onto concentrating on my next class.  This one is a business professionals English for Careers class and the final grade is the actual grade on the one and only exam I have to take.  Yikes!  So if all goes according to plan, I will go through the information in the text book, do some reviewing and then take the exam on the OU campus while I am home this July.  The exam has to be taken so that it can be proctored so rather than trying to figure out an accredited location that I am comfortable with somewhere here in Florida, I want to take it on the Athens Campus.

Anyway, I’m pretty happy and pretty proud of myself so far.  It’s been 20 years since I was a fulltime student at OU, and it has been kind of fun being a college student again.
